Missing Since: June 12, 1965 from North Lake Tahoe, California
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date of Birth: April 19, 1963
Age: 2 years old
Height and Weight: 2'3, 32 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. Bordenkircher's nickname is Jamie.

Details of Disappearance

Bordenkircher was last seen on June 12, 1965. His family was on a weekend visit to their cabin on Beaver Street in North Lake Tahoe, California at the time, and his parents were unpacking. Bordenkircher was last seen playing on a wooden swing in the front yard. He has never been heard from again.

An extensive search of the area turned up no sign of Bordenkircher. Nighttime temperatures dipped near the freezing level in the days following his disappearance and he was not dressed warmly enough to have survived long in the outdoors. Investigators initially believed he drowned in Lake Tahoe, but his body was never located, and he would have had to walk half a mile over rough terrain and cross a major highway to get to the lake. His family believes he was abducted by someone who wanted to raise a child. His case remains unsolved.
Please take caution when viewing this site, there are post mortem photos that might not appeal to some of you.

This is such a sad case. It is just so horrible and unfortunate for this little boy. Unfortunate because of the decade he was murdered in. No DNA or computers like we have today.
He was found in a JC Penny Bassinet box on February 25n 1957 on an abandoned road in NE Philadelphia.
Was he an adopted child or did his real parents do this to him? Nobody knows. I hope that he will get his name back one day and get the justice he deserves. This was someones child, grandchild, possible brother, cousin, and friend. The Boy in the Box belongs to a family somewhere. I hope they find him.

Donna has been missing since November 10, 1980 from Weaverville, CA. She was only 7 years old and was kept home from school that day. She told her Grandpa that she was going to run away. Instead of taking her serious, he helped her pack her bags. Well, Dick Fowler regrets that move and took his quilt to his grave.
Such a sad story for her family, especially her grandpa. I hope Donna's family can find closure one day.
Police follow tip, but don't find Donna Fowler's remains

Donna Fowler still missing

WAITING: Donna Fowler’s cousin Shannon Harper, and Shannon Harper’s mother, Cheryl Stinnett, wait for news about a search for Donna’s body in an old well in Weaverville. The Trinity County Sheriff’s Department did not find the body of the 7-year-old girl who went missing Nov. 10, 1980.
Trinity County sheriff's officials put a backhoe to work Tuesday near Lower Mill Street in Weaverville in an attempt to solve a 27-year-old mystery, but came up empty.

An anonymous tip led the Trinity County Sheriff's Department to search wells in the area where someone said the remains of a 7-year-old girl were hidden.

Donna Lee Fowler, an outgoing child, disappeared Nov. 10, 1980, her cousin Shannon Harper said. The young girl was kept home from school that day and told her grandfather that she was going to run away.

So Dick Fowler helped her pack her bags, thinking she was joking, but she wasn't, Harper said. She was last seen at 2:30 p.m. that day near the Joss House Historical Museum downtown, and her mother, Darcy Cook, reported her missing at 11:30 p.m.

Her grandfather was left feeling guilty that he had not taken his granddaughter seriously, Harper said.

"So he died thinking it was his fault," she said.

Harper was 10 at the time.

She is now 37 and accepts that her cousin is dead, but said she hoped her remains would be found in the well.

The backhoe worked throughout the morning and into the early afternoon to unearth the old well in a horse pasture. Harper and her mother, Cheryl Stinnett, were told after the digging that sheriff's deputies found only dog bones in the well, but Harper said she did not believe it.

"We believe somebody knows where she is and what happened to her, but I believe they already found something," she said.

Detective Sgt. Eric Palmer said he received a tip that made him skeptical, though he was still obligated to follow the lead. He and four other men from the Sheriff's Department dug around the dry well and watched a private contractor use a backhoe to dig a 10- to 12-foot hole until 1 p.m.

"Obviously the info was not reliable because we didn't find anything," Palmer said.

He reviews cold cases occasionally and usually receives tips on this case every few years, but nothing has ever come of them, he said. The department had a person of interest when the case was fresh but did not come up with enough evidence to link the man to the suspected homicide.

The detectives dug up the well on property leased by Roger Adrian. He had just left the Army when Donna went missing, but his niece was friends with Donna.

The Sheriff's Department did not notify Harper and Stinnett about the digging, but they heard about it from a friend and eventually sat in front of Harper's house to wait for news.

Harper told an officer who was leaving the scene that he should check out another well that was nearby. He told her to call Palmer later and let him know.

"We just want closure," Harper said. "We want to be able to bury her."

In June 2009 we are planning to have a candlelight vigil for Danny. This will mark the 50th anniversary of his disappearance in 1959.
As of now, no concrete plans have been made but if anyone has any suggestions or comments please feel free to express your opinions in this thread.

We do know that it will take place in Baldwin Co., AL., probably the town of Lillian which is the actual town.
Thanks,
